Support moving AVIF pictures

At present, firefox don't support moving AVIF pictrues. Firefox only show the first frame of each moving AVIF picture.

Try opening it alone in a new tab, maybe then works. If you want you can download AVIFs you like and convert them into other formats online here > https://convertio.co/it/avif-jpg/

@Luca_Pavan Not sure what you means. But I suppose that my questions are firefox don't support showing moving avif pictures. It is something similar to gif. But now firefox only shows the first frame no matter whether it is being opened in a new tab.

Ok, sorry, I thought that you were having problems on "moving AVIFs" intended as changing AVIFs location, I didn't know you meant "moving" as "animated", sorry 😑. If the problem is only on their names, then I don't know, maybe Firefox don't still support this format completely for now. Can you tell me an AVIF link to see it?

Hey @jyeric, thanks so much for your suggestion! We want to make sure our Firefox community can access as many different kinds of media as possible on the web. Trends move fast, these days one should support the .avif format for webpictures, it's smaller in size and has the same qualityt as jpeg.
