MacOS features a fantastic system-wide text replacement feature which makes inputting common words and phrases (like an email address) very simple.

It'd be fantastic if Firefox could be updated to take advantage of Text Replacement to provide a more seamless MacOS experience

Waiting for it.

This feature would upgrade Firefox from "portable" app status to "integrated".

Is there a bugzilla ticket on this?

Substitution works on my iPad and my iPhone in Firefox. Why cant it work on my Mac.

Not been here before, so I’m not sure if this is the right place or if this has been identified a thousand times before, but… I’m using Firefox on an iPad and I have single letter text replacements set up for my kids names, so if I type M followed by a space, it replaces it with Matthew. However, in Firefox in the url field, the minute I type the M, it does the replacement. So if I try to type “microsoft.com”, I end up with “Matthewicrosoft.com”. On other apps on iOS it doesn’t do the replacement if you follow it with another letter - it only does it with space, comma, etc. And I have 5 kids, so 25% of the time Firefox is driving me mad. This is not how it’s supposed to work, so how does this get fixed?

This should be standard.  Chrome supports it, why can't Firefox?

I have so many text replacements on the Mac.  Most apps allow > Edit > substitutions > ... but there is no "substitutions" choice in Firefox.   So, Firefox, please fix this so that the MacOS community can use Firefox more easily.  Thank you.
