Show multi-day-events as one connected box

When events are spanning over multiple days, the calendar shows them as individual entries for each day. This makes it harder to see at a glance when that event is starting and ending if other events are present in the same range.

Many other calendars show them as a single, connected entry and I only see advantages of this.

I agree that this would be a very good feature.

And I am a little concerned that the request is from July 2023. Such a helpful improvement should have been added already.

This feature would greatly improve the UI.

Having recently moved from another calendar app, this is the main feature I miss. Both the week view and month view are much less clear with multi-day events split in individual daily chunks.
