i have switched from chrome since past 1 month and firefox is just better. the only thing i did not find easy is the option for having multiple profiles to be used at ease, could be better if there was one to easily access seperate profiles for work and home

Guys! I switched back to Mozilla because of a super clever tiktok that mentioned that you are the only one of the major browsers that is not contrrolled by billionaires.

It breaks my heart that I have to go back to chrome. The way Chrome manages different user profiles is intuitive and clean. Firefox is truly truly messy. In the end, a browser is a commodity and i guess my principles on this will lhave to cede to the economics and seamlessness of the google ecosystem.

guys...you are competing against the google ecosystem, please use chrome for a while with different accounts, see how it works and clone it. Until then!

@luis_orozco thanks for the feedback and request! Good news, we're working on profile management right now...and it's available to try out in Firefox Nightly. Check out this recent announcement (and demo) from the team working on the feature:

like another user, disappointed because to manage several profiles (ex: 2 or 3 email address) with only one short button is impossible compare at Google Chrome. Letโ€™s us know if somethings change!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

@fr-ru thanks for the feedback. And hey, things are changing! We are working on a new profile management feature, and it's actually already available in Firefox Nightly. Check out this discussion thread, which also includes a short demo of the feature in action, to learn more and to also share feedback directly with the team building this feature:

Been trying the new multi profile support in firefox 138. It's a good improvement, but I think the following would make it a lot better:

1. Ability to quickly create desktop and/or taskbar shortcuts for each profile from within firefox (like you can with chrome).

2. Ability to have separate taskbar icons when you have multiple profiles open at once (instead of them being grouped together under one taskbar icon).

3. Ability to choose which profile is used to open external links (instead of last focused). For example, on my work laptop I want external links to default to opening in my work profile. On my personal PC I want external links to default to opening in my personal profile.

Also, the ability to have specific domains automatically open in specific profiles would be great. Edge has options for all of the above.

The new profile management feature is being gradually rolled out to users. If you're not seeing it yet, it's on the way. You're also welcome to try it now in Firefox Nightly and Beta, where it's on by default. And of course, keep the feedback coming! We really appreciate it.
