Just had to make the switch from Chrome FINALLY to much frustration because they blanket banned ublock origin... This sort of a feature I am baffled to discover doesn't exist yet.

Any start page on new tabs
dear Mozilla Team,
I will be happy to use Firefox and other software from you. However, I would be happy if I could set a start page I wanted in new tabs. The whole thing is only possible for the point "Home and new windows". There may be this attitude, but I don't find it. I would be very happy to receive feedback.
I don't buy the "malware used it to do bad stuff" story. Sorry.
Yes, with the implementation you had malware could do that, but that doesn't mean the option should be removed.
Sorry, but you seem to have found an excuse to do something you wanted for discouraging people from changing your own NTP. It is harder for non tech savvy people to find an extension and do it with an extension and you know it.
Third party extensions can change the NTP. The way extensions work in Firefox, a malware can't change NTP if it is changed with an extension.
So why exactly you don't just make a built-in extension for that and add the setting back?
Maybe because you don't really want to?
All browsers support this today and it possible to do it even on Chrome without extensions (by using Chromium's "newtab_page_location_override" setting).
You are shipping Firefox with various built-in extensions already.
Like "formautofill@mozilla.org", "ipp-activator@mozilla.com", "newtab@mozilla.org", "pictureinpicture@mozilla.org", "addons-search-detection@mozilla.com", "webcompat@mozilla.org".
So why exactly you don't make a built-in extension for something that basic which is an option in almost every browser?
If you don't want to code the extension just fork an extension like New Tab Home or New Tab Redirect and make it built-in and pre-installed lol.
