Separate doawnlod folders for a certain file type and a default "Downloads"

I would really like to be able to specify separate download folders for a file type. I don't pay attention very much (it's my fault), but sometimes I loose a picture and it is not in "Pictures" but in "Downloads" or the other way around with a .exe file. I realize this is a "user error", but for me it would make life less difficult. Sometimes it's just search-click-download-close 🙂 .
