Please, please, please give an option to set the width of the scroll bar in Firefox. It's so narrow that about 50% of the time when I try to drag it down, I end up dragging down the whole window. I'm sure it's nice for those who have their smartphone welded to their palm, but some of us still use PCs occasionally, and it's so annoying I usually just use the Page Down key, making the scroll bar pointless. I can't imagine anyone with less than great vision even trying to use Firefox because of this.

Making moves

Hopefully one day this will become reality because today development is done by rapid methodologies (AKA ticketing systems) instead of engineering, it is marketing people who determine in the end what changes are done on a product, not common sense.

That's why we got nearly invisible scrollbars, lots of pup-ups, silly nonsense terminology that talk down to the users like if they were little kids, and so on.

Please Mozilla: You don't need to SELL and continue SELLING us your product. What you need to do is not to turn people off from using Firefox by turning it into the same gray goo of focus group and ticketing systems generically designed apps.

Make scrollbars wider by default on desktop

By default all scrollbars should be wider on desktop. At the moment the current width of the scrollbars on desktop:

* makes them hard-to-spot by older people and people with disabilities, and even by some beginner users

* makes them difficult to select and interact with by older people and people with disabilities and even by some beginner users (some of those users don’t know how to swipe, and also desktop workstations don’t have track-pads to swipe)

An option in the user settings could make them thinner/compact but that should be an option for the users wanting to do so. By default Firefox should be accessible. And let it be clear that setting properties in about:config is not a good answer for this problem, because beginner users don’t go to about:config and the about:config UI is not usable by them anyway because of the too thin scrollbars!
