often i have multiple instances of mozilla open at the same time.  Of them, some are for fun, some for shopping or planning a trip... but one is always for work.  And that work instance is almost always the same set of sites: a tree with a dozen or more branches, each having multiple tabs (when viewed in tree style tabs.)

i dread having to completely shut down, b/c I'll loose this instance causing me have to re-open each and every tab yet again. (and reorganize the tree into a reasonable / useful structure -which is a great feature - thnx.)  "Restore last session" is great; but it may not (and usually does not)  re-open THIS instance.

I am certain that there is a work-around (ugh - hate the one-too-many-steps work-arounds!)...   BUT, what I would really like is an easy DIRECT way of: not saving each open tab individually (with one click), or saving each individual branch... but saving the entire instance (the entire tree, with all of its branches, and all of the tabs in those branches ) as ONE (1) BOOKMARK.

This may be somehow part of the 'container' feature  - as many times as i have tried, i still have NO UNDERSTANDING of what containers are, how they can be used.... nothing, nada, niche  (just thought you ought to know)

Technically, a bookmark-folder sounds like what you want. Since you can open a set of bookmarks with it.

But if you are rather looking for something like  "workspaces" / "tab groups"

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=workspace

Good addons, will use the container function to isolate a set of workspaces (tab collections) to allow you to have different accounts on each workspace.
