Hello,

As a macOS user and long-time Firefox fan, I’ve noticed that Firefox sometimes uses macOS’s system-level history interface or native UI elements for browsing history access, instead of a fully browser-integrated history page.

I’d like to suggest that Firefox adopt a browser-based approach to managing and displaying browsing history—similar to how Google Chrome does it with a dedicated tab (e.g., chrome : // history/)—rather than relying on system-level history views.

Why this change would help:

  • It creates a consistent experience across platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS).

  • Users can benefit from a unified, customizable browser UI rather than fragmented system interfaces.

  • A browser-integrated history view can offer more powerful features: better search, filters, sorting, keyboard shortcuts, and privacy control.

  • It avoids potential confusion or limitations imposed by the macOS system UI.

I really appreciate all the work the Mozilla team is doing. This change would be a great improvement for Mac users!

Thank you!
