Remove the black corners from Firefox's Nova design when maximised

I have the a habit going fast with my mouse to the "X" to close my browser. But with the new Nova redesign, I can no longer do that. All I want if possible is a option in settings to disable the black outline of the browser or to only make it show when it is a window on the desktop.

I moved the new tab button on the top left corner and im having the same issue, also it's very frustrating that i cant click the very top of a tab since there is a small blank area above it.

I'm having the same experience; really frustrating to change tabs, as my habit is just to move the cursor to the top of the screen to switch (avoiding straining accuracy of the mouse).

Also scrolling on a webpage now requires the cursor to NOT be all the way on the left edge of the screen, since the window has a small border there. 

I found this setting to slightly help, but there is still a border all the way around a maximized window.

I wish there was another option here to just remove the border altogether.

I just want to add that there's nothing wrong with the black corners as a visual thing, but they shouldn't impact the clickable area.

This is a pretty standard design principle: any UX element placed adjacent to the edge of the screen should be clickable when the mouse is on the edge, even when the element doesn't visually extend to the edge of the screen.

I'm using pre-nova firefox right now with vertical tabs, and it gets it right - I can click (or hover to preview) tabs when the mouse is at the edge of the screen, even though the tab "buttons" don't visually extend all the way to the edge.

(Apple has been doing this since at least the 1990's - there are black corners in the top corners of the menu bar, but you can still click on them to activate the leftmost or rightmost menu. Same with the Windows taskbar - you can interact with icons even when the mouse is below the icon, on the edge of the screen.)
