The Problem: Currently, Firefox enforces a larger minimum window width for "Web Apps" (sites opened in their own windows mode) than it does for standard browser windows. While the browser might allow ~500px, Web App mode seems restricted to ~800px or more.

Proposed Solution: Align the minimum width constraints of Web App windows with the standard browser window, or ideally, allow them to go even narrower (e.g., 400px) since they don't have the clutter of navigation buttons.

Environment Info

  • OS: Windows 11

  • Browser: Firefox 148.0.2

  • Display: 2560×1440 at 100% Scaling (QHD)

yes please the bigger width of the app version compared to the web version is extremely annoying on the suface 11 since its impossible to have an app on 50% of the screen size.

And this should be easy to implement

I came here to make the same request. Many web applications are most convenient to use at a window size that triggers a mobile layout, including on desktop. Some are clearly designed with *only* a mobile-sized viewport in mind.
