Hello Thunderbird team,

I’d like to suggest adding a feature that allows users to automatically reduce or compress attachments before sending an email.

For example, when attaching photos or documents — either directly from file sharing options or by using the Attach File button in a message — it would be great if Thunderbird offered a choice to reduce the file size.
Ideally, there could be 2 or 3 standard compression options (e.g., “High quality”, “Medium”, “Small size”), similar to what’s already available in Samsung Email or Outlook for Android.
This would be very useful to save bandwidth and avoid large attachments when sending emails, especially on mobile or slower connections.

Thank you for considering this feature!
