Quick Steps for Thunderbird - Outlook style macros

I'm giving Thunderbird a try in place of Outlook.

However I miss having a "Quick Steps" like feature which allows me to write "macros" that operate on a selected email. I have many such macros in Outlook and I would really like them in Thunderbird.
