Hi,

Bulk/Spam is only queried of you click on the folder, while the inbox folder is queried always. If you press Shift-F5 all account are queried and all inboxes get emails if there are any - except the bulk/spam folders. Why is that? Wouldn't be useful to query them, too, when you press Shift-F5?

You surely know that sometimes even important emails land in the spam folder, and you wait for it and wait and wait… until you got it and look in the bulk/spam folder.

Cheers

Try to right-click the Spam folder, then go to "Properties", then "General Information" tab, and enable checkbox "When getting new messages for this account, always check this folder". I wonder why this is not done by default, but at least this helped me.

Okay, thanks, I'll try it.

It is not done by default because it is considered a waste of bandwidth and time to query the junk and trash folders for updates unless you are actually interested in the contents of those folders,  hence checking when they are opened.
