Provide a tool to delete duplicate emails in folder

The reason for this is that my 10GB inbox suddenly doubled to 20GB as it re-downloaded all e-mails again for no obvious reason. Such a tool would not be so hard. Manually sorting this is going to take days

I have repaired my Inboxes multiple times and yet I am getting 1000's of the same emails, over & over again.   As soon as I delete them they start populating again!  Either someone finds a way to automate this I will leave and find another program.  I don't want to do it, because I really like the way Tbird works and the way it is structured and, I know how to use it.

I then downloaded & tried the Addon suggested recently - No Luck. I tried the version that was updated to run with newer versions of TB - still no luck.

@jeffrollason  it is unlikely that https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/removedupes/ will be built into Thunderbird soon.  But the add-on is still going strong and has had several updates.
