Been following this since 2022 and still no change.
Disappointing.
I use firefox on laptop specifically because of thier Black theme on laptop which Duckduckgo browser I would prefer to use, doesn't have.
But on phones they refuse to implement the Black theme and so I don't use them, as I find the wierd purple grey thing irritating. It just is always on my head as I look at it.
Why is it with amoled being literally the norm for phones, (even the cheapest phones are now amoled) ,yet Firefox refuses to implement this.
I like firefox but just can't install them if there's another browser that has pure black.
It will be great to have a native settings in the Firefox Android application to force pages automatically to dark mode if the system theme is dark mode. Microsoft Edge browser on Android has this feature and it's very helpful. I know I can use the "Dark Reader" extension to achieve this outcome but I would prefer not to use a third party extension for this simple feature.
As We Can That the majority of mobile phones are coming with Amoled Display Which gives the Devices more premium feel then the previous generation IPS or LED Display Panel. So With the Concern for the modern Devices which is Majorly Amoled panels The Firefox should also provide complete Black Dark Theme.
