Proposal: The "Universal Path Action" Button

Concept: Add a context-aware action cluster directly inside or adjacent to the Address Bar in all navigation software.

The Problem

Currently, copying a path or performing a "Paste and Go" requires multiple clicks or complex keyboard shortcuts. This slows down productivity for power users and remains undiscovered by casual users.

The Requested Features

1. Direct Copy Button: A small icon (overlapping squares) inside the address bar that copies the path to the clipboard in one click.

2. Paste & Action Buttons: * Paste & Go: Automatically pastes the clipboard and navigates (Enter).

   • Paste & Edit: Pastes the clipboard but leaves the cursor active so the user can modify the path before hitting Enter.

3. Visual Indicator: A brief "Copied!" tooltip or checkmark animation when clicked to confirm success.

Why This is a "Win" for Developers

• Accessibility: Reduces the dexterity required to perform multi-step copy-paste actions.

• Consistency: Creates a unified experience between the OS (Windows Explorer) and the Web (Chrome, Edge, Firefox).

• Efficiency: Saves seconds on every file move or website navigation, which adds up to hours of saved time annually for professional users.

Not sure if i understand your suggestion correctly but if you want a quick way to copy or extract other data from one or multiple tabs you might find one of these useful

• Copy Tabs – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-US)Simple to use, works with the tab URLs (has a customizable strip function)
• Get Tabs Infos – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-US)
  Moderatly simple, allows to create custom formats with URL parts 
• Gather from Tabs – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-US)
  complex, requires some JavaScript knowledge, very powerful can on-demand extract almost any data and/or execute actions/script

Maybe one of those fits your needs/requirements. And sorry if i misunderstood your idea/suggestion otherwise.

Like this, Buttons on the address bar to cut, copy, paste and edit. but instead of edit you can paste and go to link. no need for edit button.

for all browsers and also windows file explorer.
