Preserve original file timestamps when downloading files

I would like Firefox to offer an option to preserve the original file timestamps (especially the modification time) when downloading files, whenever this information is available from the server.

This would be useful for:

• keeping archives and backups organized,
• sorting downloaded files by their actual modification date,
• preserving metadata for documentation and software releases.

The feature should be optional, since some users may prefer downloaded files to keep the download date.

If the original timestamp is not available or cannot be verified, Firefox should fall back to the current behavior.
