Preferences link in URL Bar should have more feedback

Hello, when I accidentally hit up when typing in the URL bar, it used to prepend something like 'history' or 'bookmarks' to the search query, so I would know that I wouldnt be doing a search in my search engine.

There has recently been added an easy way to get to the preferences page, but when it is selected by hitting up/down after typing in the URL bar, there is no feedback saying that it is the destination.

If you type out an entire query, accidentally hit up, and enter, you lose the entire query and end up in the preference page, confused. Perhaps when you are selecting the preferences cog, it should give some feedback that you are about to lose your whole query.
