With the version Firefox 109 release, you added this new button without the option to change its position or move into the overflow area. Please let use move it. I can remove/hide almost every other UI element in the browser, why not this?

Firefox's number 1 selling point to me has always been its customizability. If a user wants to remove items from the main display and relegate them to the overflow menu, they should have the ability to do that.

There's a bug on the Overflow Menu issue, so you could add your vote/confirmation on it    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1814264

Similar opinions and perspective as everyone else commenting here but just putting my comment here to add to numbers.

I'm sure plenty of people had been rather comfortable with using the overflow menu to contain a curated selection of extensions that they need to engage with or configure. Even better, you could determine the order that they appeared in. A much better system.

Personally I would rather this behavior be completely optional and it work the same for the user as it did before. At minimum if that won't happen it should adhere to the ux design language of the toolbar and be movable and removable.

And they decided to mark my bugzilla entry as a "duplicate" of a bug they already blew off as "WontFix".

These people want to have that sort of attitude, they should go work for Google, and leave *OUR* browser alone.  That is presuming they actually *aren't* secretly working for Google, and are intentionally trying to break all the Mozilla products.

Doesn't matter at this point.  Firefox pissed me off, and so now I'm working with Waterfox, Basilisk, Librewolf and Pale Moon; I'll test them all and see which one gets to be my replacement for Firefox.

Hey, maybe one of these projects will pick up a fork of Thunderbird too.

I've been using Firefox for over 15 years and this is the first time I've ever felt compelled to complain. Why can't I remove this extensions button from the toolbar? I don't want it there and you're not even giving me the option to hide it. It feels like every update just increases my frustration with this once decent browser. If anyone figures out a solution to this stupid problem, please let me know. I'm more than happy to switch to another browser too if anyone has any recommendations. Thanks.

I don't want this button in my toolbar.

Totally agreed, the overflow and the extensions buttons look hideous. I liked the single overflow button with just the names of the extensions better. You could make it so if you hover on the extensions it shows what data it uses. But the two buttons look horrendous. Just remove the extensions button and have the overflow button like there was before.

...useless waste of precious real estate.  Give us options to remove it!

Why newly added functions recently are unable to remove their icons from toolbar although the designe have done almost for it.
