Place a button on the main screen for Folder Pane Layout

I wish this was implemented a long time ago, considering this post is from 2022! It is like pulling teeth every time I want to hide/unhide the folder pane. Each time I want to do this, I have to go to View| Layout | Folder Pane. Why can't a button be place somewhere on the toolbar for easy access? I need to hide the pane frequently to use less real estate on my laptop. Thanks.

Using ver. 143.0.1 (64-bit) on Win 10.
