Pin Tab Groups

Nice the new Tab Groups, but like to pin them on the left side like normal tabs can.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and notes on the importance of this feature request. Pinning tab groups, as well as generally allowing more actions with tab groups, is high on our backlog. However, after the next batch of highly requested improvements to tab groups we’ve prioritized, we're going to switch our focus for a bit and contribute to other parts of the Firefox experience that need TLC. 
Quick reminder on what's coming in the most immediate round of improvements: 



1. Preview collapsed tab group on hover


2. Drag a tab into the collapsed group


3. Keep the active tab visible in a collapsed tab group

We'll be able to return to the tab group pinning (and weighing it against all of the helpful improvements we've imagined and you suggested) towards the tail end of the year/beginning of 2026.

Hello Team,

i'd love Group function that has been implemented recently. I think it will be a great if you can implement a pin option for a Group Tab that will be always there along with other pin tabs on very left part on the bar .

Please add it. It would allow us to easily search a group without having to scroll from left to right or vice versa.

Will add my own example on how I would be using this feature.

I'm a software developer and I often work on several big features at once. I use Tab Groups to ogranize the tabs based on what feature they belong to. Usually each group has a Miro Board, a couple of tabs with additional documentation and maybe 1-5 tabs with active work-in-progress tickets. Without grouping it would be around 10-30 tabs, but when grouped it becomes just 4 groups.

Pinning these groups would allow me to skip this tedious process of opening and grouping the tabs again every morning when I open my browser. Yes, I know that I can just ctrl+shift+t to restore tabs from previous session, but sometimes not all, none or just wrong/different tabs are restored instead of what I need to.

Really would like the tab-pinning features. That's one of the few topics that keep me using other browsers for work
