opening page "favorites"

On the Firefox opening page there are eight blocks which save visited websites.   This could be convenient except that ALL websites seem to be saved.  It is handy to have actual favorites there, but every site visited is not only annoying but inconvenient since it displaces actual favorites.    There seems to be no way to eliminated unwanted blocks without individually deleting each one which can take a very long time.   Some sites I visit, such as Animal Rescue Site which provides opportunity to donate to ten charities.  Each time I visit (often four times daily) ten blocks are created.  Please develop a way to eliminate this problem.
