I switched from Opera as it is no longer updated for Windows7. I used the feature a lot that moved the entire page all the way to the top with one click on the header. Now I miss this feature in Firefox. Instinctively I click on the header. And then. Oh, it's Firefox. Well, nothing.

Maybe a back to top extension helps.

Making moves

You can use keyboard keys to achieve this:

  • Home brings you to the beginning of the page;
  • End brings you to the bottom;
  • Page Down/Up scroll the page by its height.

On laptops, they are often accessible as Fn combinations and work in most applications.

i woul not want this kind of behaviour. if i click on a tab i do not and would not  expect this to influence the pages scroll position.

That's what I thought at first, but then I tried this function and got used to it immediately. It's very addictive. This functionality can of course be deactivated in the Opera settings. If it would not be possible to add this functionality to Firefox due to license or copyright reasons, then of course I understand.
