Can we get an offline grammar and spell checker, similar to the language / translation tool? It would be awesome to have something check grammar and spelling offline without sending any data over the wire, just like the translation tool.

Hi, it would be useful to have a spell check directly integrated into the browser rather than using third-party tools. Thank you.

Hi @fabriziobagala, you should already be able to use the Firefox spell checker — here is some more info: http://mzl.la/1BAQFzT

If that's not working or not exactly what you're looking for, let me know 😃

Hi @Jon, sorry if I was not clear, but I meant to have something more advanced like Grammarly or LanguageTool. Possibly taking advantage of AI.

If I am composing something that needs a spell checker and grammer I use an external text editor then copy paste my blurb into the page.

Works good for me too.

Thanks for clarifying! This may potentially align with another suggestion here on Connect: Offline grammar and spelling checker

If so, we can merge the two threads together to keep the conversation focused in one space. Or if it's different enough, we can have this stand alone on its own.

I would say the two threads are very similar so you can merge them. I would add just one detail, to specify which tools it should resemble, i.e. Grammarly or LanguageTool.
