I would like to suggest a new feature for Firefox called Save Research Session.
Many users open many tabs when they are researching a topic for work study or personal projects. Firefox already has bookmarks and tab groups but there is no simple way to save an entire browsing session and restore it later exactly as it was.
The feature would allow users to save all current tabs under a name and reopen them later.
A saved research session could include all open tabs the order of tabs tab groups pinned tabs and optionally notes. It could also store the date and time when the session was saved.
This would be useful for long research work academic study software development travel planning and other activities where many tabs are used at the same time.
Unlike bookmarks a research session would preserve the full working context so users can pause and resume their work without losing anything.
I believe this would be useful for students researchers and professionals.
Thank you for considering this idea.
