Native Tab Grouping / More Customizable Tab bar

I'm personally a heavy tab user but have always wondered why there is almost no support for tab grouping or customization in the native tab bar in Firefox.

I think making it able to group like Google Chrome does for example or at least giving more access for extensions and add-ons would significantly improve the UI in that regard.

I installed the Beta version: I am sorry but I don't see much improvement, even basic things like dragging the group of tabs in the tab bar it is not working.   

I have a very disconcerting feeling that it will be a clone of chrome, and I want more. like more customization and option because now the extension developers can't modify tabs and stuff in Firefox UI.

like in Vivaldi, it is possible to expand tab groups in a new tab line, or like an accordion(similar to Google Chrome). I like to have both options.

in Vivaldi along tab groups (I prefer tab stacking) there is workspaces which I badly need along tab grouping/stacking.  However, in Vivaldi the workspaces button is on the tab bar, and I don't like that, i wish for it to be a small button that you click and then see a list of work spaces, similar to how Firefox tab grouping used to be.

More feedback, sorry, I also, I rather choose my own colors, and icons, and for the tab groups to look more like a tab but in full color, right now it looks tiny and weird looking.

So is there any plan for to have more features than Google Chrome?

PS: I wish if it was possible to have the beta version and the stable version at the same time. It seems like it replaces the Stable version.

In the latest nightly build tab groups can be moved. It is still a bit rough (in horizontal tabs the placing is a bit off, but in vertical it actually works pretty well), as expected with Nightlies, but in general it works great.
