Native Tab Grouping / More Customizable Tab bar

I'm personally a heavy tab user but have always wondered why there is almost no support for tab grouping or customization in the native tab bar in Firefox.

I think making it able to group like Google Chrome does for example or at least giving more access for extensions and add-ons would significantly improve the UI in that regard.

Yes please.  Just moved from Chrome to FF.  Please don't make me go back.  Chrome beats me when no one is looking.  Tab groups?  Please?

Recent Chrome extension policy changes made me switch to Firefox.

Overall experience is OK for now, though transition is not as smooth as it could be.

But Chrome's tab groups is one thing that I miss the most, I may get used to 'simple tab groups' workflow sooner or later, but it's clearly would never be as convenient as Chrome's native solution.

Both grouping tabs and fast switching user would be nice (please don't say about:profiles is fast or good UX!)

group tabs is really missed in Firefox

Definitely Tab Grouping is the only feature missing from FF that prevents me from giving it a 5 Star review, I'm always working with multiple tabs opened and with different work spaces, grouping them would make my life much easier, I've tried some extensions but they aren't very intuitive and/or helpful, hope that Mozilla bring back this option sooner than later because there's a big crowd waiting for it.

Make a "group" option

Like other navigators, make a "add tab to group xxx" option. It would be easier to organize tabs with that option.

Mozilla doesn't seem to realize how many loyal and potential users are losing out to the lack of this vital feature in 2023. Firefox is undoubtedly the best browser, but the lack of tab grouping, which is simply necessary, greatly affects the user experience.

It remains a mystery to me why no information is provided about such a sought-after feature as to its development. This circumstance alone keeps me from returning to Firefox and forces me to use other browsers that are not as good as Firefox. I really hope that you will at least share information on whether you are working on this feature and if it will be available at all? Can you provide any information at all, @Jon?

As soon as the browser has tab grouping (and, preferably, workspaces, something similar to workspaces from opera), I will immediately toss other browsers to the dustbin of history and use only your excellent product.
