This is the one feature that has kept me from switching to Firefox Mobile. Tab management and tab switching is harder on a small phone screen than on a desktop, so well-designed tab features are essential. Firefox on mobile feels clunky and awkward to anyone who is used to tab groups in Chrome.
All I'm gonna say is Firefox Mobile still isn't up to par compared to Firefox on PC.
Firefox on PC is great. I want to go all in on the Firefox ecosystem, but missing features in the other Firefox apps, aside from PC, are a huge dealbreaker.
Firefox Mobile lacking a simple but useful feature like tab grouping really solidifies that.
It would work so well if Firefox didn't only just have tab groups on mobile, but if you were also able to sync them with your desktop tab groups and vice versa. Like how for instance you're always able to access your tab groups on desktop by clicking on the downward arrow on the right regardless of if you're on your main PC or not, it's criminal that there isn't any way to do that on mobile. Another thing I've noticed as someone with a lot of tab groups is that when going to the sync tab on the Android app you're clearly able to access all of the tabs you have open on desktop, but they're all just kind of scattered everywhere without any kind of categorization which makes it kind of a mess to navigate. If they were categorized by the tab groups they're in instead, finding the tab you're looking for would be a much more seamless experience.
