Mobile tab grouping

With the ability to move tabs currently in nightly it would also be nice to be able to group tabs the same way chrome does.

Chrome doesn’t have the tab group feature on ios, only the collections variant for bookmarks. I’ve lived on safari just because of its good tab groups

The ability to group tabs is one of the, if not the only reason why I dual-use Firefox and Chrome on my phone.

Please help me get rid of chrome entirely

@Excite As much as this annoys me since I don't use tab groups on desktop, but rely on them on mobile heavily as an alternative to multiple windows, it seems like the feature request thread for desktop sees a lot more activity. I don't know if tab groups are used by more people on desktops, or if this is the demographic of people using Firefox and leaving feature requests on the forums. Either way, it seems to be requested more.

I would say chrome on mobile handles it best, along with keeping previous settings set for the tab each time I open it. For instance making sure if I set desktop mode on.

@Jon Chrome is far superior to Edge. 

Edge's workflow means you have to go back and tap into the tab switcher every time. Yes it organizes ones tabs, but not by much: if you simply open a link in a new window that tab will already be beside the one you were using. 

Chrome's implementation means one can seamlessly move from one tab to the next in the group with minimal effort. This is essential when doing something like shopping: one can scroll through the category, opening the links to whatever one is interested in as part of the tab groups and then quickly comparing between items. It greatly reduces the pain of a website losing one's position, clearing filters, using an internal popup window with an "x" button at the top of the screen, etc.

Absolutely an essential feature to add, this is the one thing stopping me from switching on mobile. The way Chrome handles tab grouping is by far the best out of any available browser, and I would love to see Firefox handle it similarly.

As i’ve mentioned earlier, safaris tab groups is by far the easiest to handle. On ios, chrome and edge only have bookmark folders, but in safari you drop open tabs in there, which i find more useful
