With the ability to move tabs currently in nightly it would also be nice to be able to group tabs the same way chrome does.

Adding my voice to this. The lack of tab grouping is the only thing keeping me from using FF as my main browser.

Given the activity on this, could we get a statement from Mozilla if this is planned or not?

It is disheartening that Firefox was one of the first to implement tab grouping, then removed it on desktop. Then when the rest of the industry implemented tab grouping on desktop and mobile, Firefox was left behind.

Totally agree with this idea. Grouping tabs is the reason why I still use Brave as my main browser. More than a year and so many comments to this topic, Mozilla still not give any update on this idea ?

I'm also creating an account to add support for this. I've been following this thread for a while and it's disheartening to see no updates. It's literally the only thing keeping me from switching to Firefox as my browser on all my devices. Tab grouping on mobile is extremely important and I don't want to have to give up on things like syncing by using a different mobile and desktop browser.

I joining too. I started using FF just recently, but it's definitely a feature which is a must in mobile browser.

I keep this thread open in a tab on my phone since I really want to start using Firefox. The lack of this feature is all that's holding me back. Hoping for some good news soon!

I desperately want to move away from Chrome on Android, but the lack of tab grouping is a major dealbreaker for me, as I usually have a minimum of 120+ tabs open at a time - all grouped with different subjects so I can easily go from one to another. Please implement this ASAP so I can switch to Firefox!

Any news on this? Like previously stated I'd also like to switch from chrome to FF but the tab thing is holding me back currently as it's a major deal breaker for me at the moment.

Mozilla is launching support for more extensions for Firefox on Android, so I'm wondering if this is how they plan on having tab grouping supported. Maybe we'll see an extension that will allow it, but I'd still like to see a baked in implementation.

@Jon It's been almost 3 months since you said you would check for updates, anything?
I like many others would really like to switch off of Chrome and without this tab grouping feature on mobile it makes that impossible for us.
The fact that the number 1 idea is Native Tab Grouping on the desktop application makes you think that you might see even some traction on the mobile implementation as well. This is very disheartening.

Another one here to say, please implement this asap. I've been using Firefox on Desktop for over a decade and every time I consider finally dropping Chrome on mobile I can't because I need the tab grouping option for my own sanity.

I switched from Chrome to FF on mobile and had to close my 1400 or so tabs which were neatly grouped by topics just to find out FF does not have any tab grouping. Please. I need it.

I need this ASAP. Please. Not as a weird addon but as a built in feature.

I just switched from Chrome to FF on mobile and had to close my 1400 or so open tabs that were neatly sorted by topic. And then I found out that FF has no kind of tab grouping, now I got a weird unsorted list of open tabs that is super annoying to scroll through.

Any news? I'd also love this feature.

This is the only thing that's stopping me from switching over from Brave. Literally did all of the setup of Firefox on my devices, was doing my Android phone last and found that there aren't tab groups. Put my switch on hold until this feature is implemented.
