With the ability to move tabs currently in nightly it would also be nice to be able to group tabs the same way chrome does.
I know you all have been experimenting with Tab Grouping by Search Query, but the option to Manually Group Tabs would be most welcome.
and on desktop too
"Tab Group" is a must for modern browsers. Implement it asap.
I made a tab folders concept a while ago, maybe the illustrations from it might be useful: https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/pxq7yc/my_opinion_on_how_to_improve_fenix_tab_grouping/
Though it was made before inactive tabs grouping, so if this feature will get implemented (and I hope it will) they would probably use the same UI elements for custom groups as used for inactive tabs group.

It definitely should be an option. Users must have possibility to disable grouping. I.e. is in impossible in Chrome.
Any plans for tab grouping and rearranging?
As for you know there are folder for tabs on chrome (which is a great feature) You guys made a similar tool for Search grouping which has the similar potential but less accessible since we can't just move tabs there in or our (and worse we can't even rearrange them).
Chromes tab grouping is the best thing that happened to mobile browsers in a while. It helps so much keeping the 100+ tabs organized. Would be great to see that in Firefox mobile too.

I am very excited for this. Its one of the things that has kept me from leaving chromium altogether! I hope this feature is similar enough that It does everything I need.
