Hello,

I don't understand why it is so difficult to send an encrypted email with the public key given by a friend or got on internet ?

When imported the public key it should be possible to directly use it to encrypt and send a new email from all of your accounts.

Thanks.🙂

Protonmail already supports the discovery of PGP keys via WKD for any domain., by searching the key in the right folder for that domain following this standard https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-koch-openpgp-webkey-service/

Thunderbird instead supports it only if the key is hosted on keys.openpgp.org

which is a big limitation since it forces the user to manually search and import the key.
