Firefox already lets me see tabs from other devices through Firefox View, the Synced Tabs sidebar, and the account/account menu. The problem is that these surfaces are awkward when I want to open several remote tabs one by one.
I would like a persistent page for Tabs from other devices that works more like a command center:
- Group tabs by source device.
- Search/filter across all remote tab titles and URLs.
- Open a clicked remote tab in a new background tab while keeping the synced-tabs page open.
- Support opening selected tabs or all tabs from a device.
- Preserve enough context to avoid repeatedly navigating back into account/sidebar/Firefox View.
The current UI is useful for occasional tab pickup, but it is not great for a workflow where I am triaging many tabs from my phone/tablet/desktop and want to keep the list visible as I open links.
This would be especially useful for people who use Firefox across multiple devices and treat synced tabs as an active handoff queue, not just a single "pick up where I left off" shortcut.
There is also a related WebExtensions API gap: extensions cannot currently build this UI using Firefox's native synced-tab inventory. I added that developer/API side of the request to Bugzilla here:
