This came through as a question on reddit with 87 net votes, showing a screenshot of Chrome's "Search Tabs" feature (in the tab strip).

People pointed out that you can search tab titles via the address bar using the % restriction token. However, this is a bit of a multi-step process, unlike the same feature in Chrome, which allows people to do a Ctrl-shift-a and begin typing for the tab vs. the Firefox feature, which requires people to do Ctrl-l then type % space and begin typing the tab title.

Ideally, there would be a keyboard shortcut that would focus the address bar with the restriction token already populated.

Same here, killer feature missing from FF, it's also almost already there, just a keybind with auto select of the first result and boom

I really love the CTRL+SHIFT+A in Chrome/Edge. This would be amazing to have in Firefox also

I suggest implementing a dedicated Tab Search UI similar to the one found in Chromium-based browsers (shortcut Ctrl + Shift + A). This would provide a centered, focused search overlay that allows users to quickly filter and jump to open tabs without moving their hands to the mouse or clearing the address bar like overlay nnew tab .

Much needed feature.
Why are devs not adding it? It is just a keyboard shortcut, the feature already exists.

I use both Browser all the day. Firefox and the Edge Browser. I really miss this feature in Firefox.

You can remove your new "split view" feature and add the shortcut for searching tabs! Nobody really need the split view. I would use two Browser windows as usual.
