I regularly visit and work with websites that have Cyrillic letters in their domain names (for example "культура.рф"). Even though I have already visited these sites before, the address bar completely fails to suggest them from my history when I start typing. As a result, it is very easy to make a typo in the domain name.
In other browsers like Google Chrome or Safari, you only need to type a Cyrillic address once. The next time, the browser "catches" it from the very first letters and offers a suggestion straight from the history directly in Cyrillic. It is convenient and intuitive.
In 2026, the internet should be equally convenient for all languages. Dear Mozilla developers, please make working with Cyrillic URLs as seamless as it is in competing browsers. Users from the CIS segment of the internet will be incredibly grateful to you!
