Hello Mozilla team,

It would be a great improvement if the built-in PDF viewer in Firefox could not only display PDFs, but also clearly show when a document contains a digital signature.

Ideally, if a PDF is digitally signed, the viewer could:

  • Indicate that the document is signed (more prominently than today)
  • Show basic signature details such as signer name and validity status (valid/invalid/unknown)
  • Provide a simple way to view certificate information

This would make it much easier for users to trust and verify documents directly in the browser without needing external tools.

Thank you for your work on Firefox.
