Hi Mozilla Team,

I would like to suggest an improvement to Firefox’s multi-monitor window behavior.

When using Firefox on a secondary monitor, links that open in a new small window or pop-up often open on the main monitor instead of the same monitor where Firefox is currently being used. This can be disruptive, especially for users who work with multiple screens and expect new windows to appear near the active browser window.

In browsers like Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, new small windows usually open on the same monitor as the active browser window, which feels more natural and convenient.

It would be very helpful if Firefox could either:

  1. Automatically open new pop-up windows on the same monitor as the active Firefox window; or

  2. Provide a setting that lets users choose where new windows and pop-ups should open.

This would make Firefox much smoother for multi-monitor workflows, especially for work setups where users rely on external monitors.

Thank you for considering this feedback.
