Status: New idea

I am now eager to leave Chrome; several add-ons will stop working, including stylish (I need to make a readable font and larger font sizes, not to be forced to whatever some 20-year-old eyeballs thinks looks good enough to them), etc.

But: I need to be able to move to firefox with *everything* brought over. Including the open windows and tabs.

Tabs being grouped together is a big thing for me. A given window having a set of tabs means those tabs are related to each other, and I want them to be reopened together.

I'm the opposite. I'm a senior and like everything to open in a new window.

Sure. But when you are talking about hundreds of new windows?

Tabs, as a way to group related sites, is a workable system.

Windows do not scale for hundreds, as there is no functioning "grouping" system in any OS. At best there is "group by application", and what you want is "group by project/theme". And in theory, you could say that "virtual desktops" serve that, but again -- OS's *do not really separate virtual desktops by project/theme*. They want at best to do by application.

From one web page, that has several interesting "where to go next" links -- and both wikipedia and youtube are horrible for this, as are a number of news pages that actually provide citation links to read more information -- you can expect a lot of "read next" links to open. So number of open related windows/tabs goes up before it comes back down.

I'm not saying you are wrong for wanting single-document windows. For everything *except* web browsing, I do also.

This request is about *importing information from another browser*

Imagine having 50 windows open in Chrome, being ready to leave Chrome, and wanting all 50 of them to open for you in Firefox. That is what I am asking for.
