Import & Export functions for Apple Mail & msg-files

It would be great, if import- and export-functions for importing emails from Apple Mail and msg-files and exporting to .eml or .emlx could be brought back to life or could be newly implemented on Thunderbird for MacOS.

Importing emails unfortunately doesn't work anymore.

well, Import-Export-Tools just doesn't seem to work anymore on MacOS since some time. The integrated Import-Export does it neither. That's why I posted this Idea.

I agree that better Apple Mail and MSG support in Thunderbird would make migration much easier, especially on macOS. If Thunderbird’s built-in options don’t work, another workaround is to convert the mail files into a more compatible format first. I’ve used SysTools MBOX Converter for Apple Mail/MBOX data and SysTools MSG Converter for MSG files, mainly when I needed a straightforward way to prepare the emails before importing them into another client. Hopefully, native support improves in Thunderbird so third-party conversion isn’t needed for basic migrations.
