Can we have import & export Bookmark in HTML file for Firefox Android?? I want to fully use Firefox on my Android phone but most of my bookmark are in Brave browser and Brave browser support import & export bookmark in HTML file.
This is a very good idea, TREO. Yet, what would you think if the file(s) could also be visible in Word/WordPad, Notepad(++), Excel, if Access? That can go back to compatibility from 2007. It ties to why my team loves DOS3.1 via UNIX. Honestly, do you see that no Android nor iOS would ever work if BlackBerry-OS2 was never created? That is why having multiple formats to save Mozilla account names, bookmarks, histories, if downloads' properties, if users and/or passwords, and if add-ons'/plug-ins'/themes' properties, would be excellent to save and view them as. Do you agree?
Import and export of bookmarks is not only required to move bookmarks between Firefox and other browsers. I (and looking at other threads here many other users as well) would very much need such a feature to backup my bookmarks! I know that there is the sync option for that. But for privacy reasons I do not wish to put my bookmarks into a cloud. Furthermore, I do use desktop and mobile for different purpose, so do not want to be bothered by the bookmarks from the respective other instance.
This is one of the features I miss the most compared to the desktop version. In my desktop workflow, I often export and import the bookmark list in HTML.
Feature Request: Export and Import Bookmarks in .HTML format (Firefox for Android)
Dear Mozilla Firefox for Android Team,
I would like to strongly request the implementation of a feature to Export and Import bookmarks in standard .HTML format on Firefox for Android.
The current lack of this essential feature is the only reason why I am currently unable to use Firefox on my Android device. I am forced to use other Chromium-based browsers which do offer this critical function, as it is necessary for me to easily manage and migrate my collection of hundreds of bookmarks across different devices and browsers.
Implementing this feature would significantly improve the browser's usability and appeal to power users who frequently manage their data, allowing for seamless migration from other browsers and increasing user adoption for Firefox on Android.
