Thunderbird is great software, and I use it with pleasure. I’m also looking forward to ThunderMail and the Pro version so I can contribute to its development.
I’d like to suggest implementing a more advanced task manager than the one currently available. As a small business user, I need something simple but very effective for managing my daily routine. At the moment I use TickTick. It’s fast, inexpensive, and feature-rich, and it ticks all the boxes for me. It could be a good reference point for a future task manager in Thunderbird. I’d also be very happy to pay for this—especially if it were included in the Pro version.
I also noticed that TickTick’s user interface resembles Thunderbird’s (see attached screenshot). I don’t know if that makes things easier, but it may be possible to reuse some of the existing design patterns—for example, displaying tasks in a similar way to emails—which would be a big usability win.
