Idea: Widget-Extension or Widget-App Compatibility

Suggestion with new widgets in Firefox homepage to allow 3rd party extension compatibility. I'd like TickTick's pomodorro rather than Firefox's, and certain extensions exist for TickTick but I'm not certain of the limitations Firefox sets currently for extensions. The one extension I tried put it on the sidebar and that wasn't too helpful, so I more use the app separately which includes features that do have widgets on IOS. Windows widgets don't have much use, but I think Firefox working on widget integration with either the direct app or extensions could be beneficial to improving technological integration.
