Thunderbird is one of the best email clients. It is ad-free and privacy-focused.

However, starting with version 153, there is a "Sign in to Thundermail" option in the menu. I use Thunderbird to handle all my email accounts, including the one provided by my institution. I do not use Thundermail.

I wish there were a way to hide this.

I understand Thunderbird needs some sources of income, and ads from Mozilla might be expected. However, as a promotion (an ad in some sense) by Thunderbird, it should be optional to dismiss or turn off.

@GAGA, it can be done with CSS  but support requests aren't allowed here. Please post your question with full details at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird/form.

@Jon Thank you for your reply. I hope there will be an official option to turn it off. As a donator of Thunderbird, I hope Thunderbird will remain ad-less.
