Full screen mode in android

[tamerh]

Please add full screen functionality for firefox android. It is very useful especially while using an android tablet.

Please add full screen or immersion screen whatever, just make transparent bottom and top bars

[Kamik]

Edge-to-edge please, this gray status bar is so annoying

I agree with many others ; this feature is a no-brainer. A simple shortcut button to toggle full-screen mode would be incredibly convenient, and I bet it's not even that complicated to implement.

Amazed this doesn't exist. Can't even auto hide the tab bar, it's either on or off. Really pushing me to switch back to another browser, folks!

Pull Tab Full screen extension works fine as a workaround @mccheesy , @uaxpasha  and others

[Kamik]

@BK2 Fullscreen Toggle Button also works but still would be better to have native edge-to-edge support with transparent status bar

The PDF Viewer really needs a Fullscreen Button because Fullscreen Browser Extensions don’t work there.

I found out by accident that you can "Add app to home screen" on your phone from Firefox for android menus, and voilà, it will be fullscreen.

Of course it does not solve the general issue, but in my case I only really needed it for one site (Gitlab) and it works perfectly.
