I'd like to be able to keep the thunderbird settings, layouts, etc in sync across multiple systems (and ideally, mobile).

Like in subject, if i can make thunderbird synchronise my gmail setting and message filter using example one folder auto created on my gmail example [Thunderbird Cloud] folder who will be updated after new modification and uploaded to gmail. Then on another PC or Laptop Thunderbird can download and update file like Message fillters. Also synchronise plugins instaled on other pc. and no one need swap files manualy.
Even better if we can export setting like this to firefox account and synchronise firefox also update thunderbird.
Synchronise can update:

contact book list
message filter
Plugins added to thunderbird

New date  can be alweys updated then if you work on one PC and go to another (with same profil) all changes will be imported automaticly. : )

This not need be empty (look attachement) only one fille needed to swap. Can be downloaded from gmail, and restart app to load filters.

I think this will be covered in the sync initiative that has been in progress for some time. At least that is what their blog posting says.

Hi, i have hope this will be implemented. Then TB will be almost perfect for me. : ) for security reason store setting filters thunderbird on email is not that stupid idea. Becouse if you use seme profile on meny devices, all will be sync. And no one need manual swap file anymore.

Will the sync contain list of running filters?

Will these filters then run also in the mobile version (when it will eventually get firefox sync too)?
