Hello,

I think it would be nice to include in the filter rules the opportunity to check the links within the text.
I receive spams with a link(domain) I don't want to visit, (kind "xyz.org"). The filter rules i have in Thunderbird allow me to check text but not the URL of the links. It would be so useful to be able to choose: delete inbox mails with internal links to the xyz.org domain !!

As anyone can use any mail address to send a mail, it's a problem. If we can filter the internal links, we don't need to filter senders that are changing every time.

I hope i have been clear, my mothertongue is not english 🙂

Thanks in advance.

best regards

Iragael

Ps: I didn't find how to add a screenshot here... I had one...

@Iragael you should be able to add an image/link by selecting 'edit idea' from the drop-down menu, scroll down to just below the body of your post, and either drag and drop or browse your files to attach to the post. Image below. Hope this helps!

Just for information:
・ An add-on that allows you to add custom actions and search terms to Thunderbird's mail filter system:
FiltaQuilla

・ An add-on that can be filtered based on domain:

I find these bad sites are constantly changing. You might be better off with an allow list and a way to harvest links from old emails then edit the list. But in any case I like it.

Another motiviation might be that the unsubscribe links are usually hidden with some text

i.e:

"click here" and actual url is xyz.com/something/something/unsubscribe?12345

i would love to match this unsubscribe in the url without 3rd party addon
