feature request: Thunderbird, avoid notifications for junk/spam email

I get sometimes several junk (spam) emails, which automatically go correctly to the junk folder after some seconds. 
The problem is, for some of them, I get (Gnome ubuntu) notifications; I guess, because they are not instantly sent to the junk folder. It takes some seconds for that, which is why I think the notification is produced.
So the request is to wait for the junk analyser to act, or some strategy, to avoid producing the notifications corresponding to email that a couple of seconds later is sent to the junk folder.

Would be great if we can set a delay time for new mails arrival notifications.

It would solve both this and: sometimes we are already actively checking the new mails. There's no need for notification if we have already read them.
