I set Firefox as the default PDF viewer.

Currently, when I open a PDF file multiple times—often by mistake—Firefox opens a new tab each time, even if the same PDF is already open. This results in many duplicate tabs, which makes my workspace cluttered and requires me to manually close them one by one. It can be quite inconvenient during daily use.

I would like to kindly suggest adding a toggle or setting that allows users to choose whether Firefox should open a duplicate tab for a PDF that is already open. With such a feature, Firefox could simply switch to the existing tab instead of opening another identical one.

I believe this would greatly improve usability for many users who frequently view PDFs.
