Sometimes one wants to open a few (but not all) bookmarks from a nested bookmark folder. It is tedious to navigate through all of their parent folders several times in a row.

It would be nice to be able to hold ctrl/cmd and click on a bookmark from the list, so that the bookmark opens but the popup with bookmarks is not closed. This way, one could click several times in a row without losing the context.

This feature exists in Chrome and works well.

Thanks. Yes, that seems to be related. However, my suggestion is perhaps broader, since:
(1) Not always do we use a mouse - sometimes it's a touchpad. The presence of a keyboard is universal.
(2) Using ctrl/cmd in this context would make the target behavior akin to opening a link in a new window, i.e. not lose what you're looking at at the moment and still have that new tab.
